Fauquier High School Addition and Renovation

Warrenton, Virginia

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services on the 87,225-square-foot addition and 10,950-square-foot renovation. The four-story addition contains classrooms, laboratories, administrative spaces, and common areas, as well as a monumental connecting staircase that promotes interaction and activity. Additionally, the existing library was transformed into a modern media center.

Completed in 2013, the project finished on time with zero injuries despite the challenging logistics of performing work in an occupied school building. Old Dominion Insulation contracted with Miller and Anderson to perform the work. Whiting Turner was the general contractor.

Silver Lake Middle School

Prince William County, VA

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services for the school which accommodates about 1,100 students in 136, 622 square feet of space. The facility includes 52 classrooms including grade-level rooms and dedicated learning disabled, science, art, and life sciences rooms. The school sits on 41.8 acres and features a baseball field, softball field, soccer field, four tennis courts, and a football/soccer field surrounded by a ΒΌ-mile track.

Completed in 2012, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Insulation contracted with Miller and Anderson to perform the work.

Page County High School

Shenandoah, VA

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services for a 131,000-square-foot high school. The facility features a 700-seat auditorium, a gym, a library, a cafeteria and five computer labs.

Completed in 2009, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Insulation contracted with Riddleberger Brothers to perform the work.

Luray High School

Luray, VA

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services for a 131,000-square-foot high school.

Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School

Ashburn, VA

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services for the 90,000-square-foot educational facility.

Completed in 2007, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Insulation contracted with Miller and Anderson to perform the work.

Washington-Lee High School

Arlington, VA

Old Dominion Insulation provided mechanical and plumbing insulation services for the complete reconstruction of this four-story academic facility accommodating 1,600 students with an 850-seat auditorium. The theater and nearby classrooms were demolished to allow for the construction of the new classroom building. The athletic facility features two new rectangular athletic fields, a ten-lane regulation NCAA short course swimming pool, a large gymnasium and other indoor athletic facilities. The facility is LEED certified with features including increased natural lighting, sun shades and low-flow plumbing fixtures.

Completed in 2009, the project finished on time with zero injuries. Old Dominion Insulation contracted with Shapiro and Duncan to perform the work. Hess Construction was the general contractor.
