ODI Earns Top Honors for Safety
For the second year in a row, Old Dominion Insulation took home top honors at ABC’s STEP Awards. This recognition places us alongside fewer than 1,600 ABC member companies exceeding industry safety standards.
Established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee, the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. This award gives companies the opportunity to measure their safety programs’ progress and identify areas of improvement.
There are 6 levels of STEP achievement Participant, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. This Platinum Award signifies we are 770% above the industry safety average. We were among only 2% of ABC Virginia Chapter members to earn this distinction.
- William Blackwell accepts the STEP award for ODAD
- Todd French accepts the STEP Award for DrillCore
The award recognizes both training and on-site safety performance, underscoring ODI’s total commitment to safety.
In addition to ODI’s Platinum Award, our other lines of business were also recognized:
- Old Dominion Abatement and Demolition: Gold
- DrillCore: Silver
- Old Dominion Firestopping: Silver
- ISC: Platinum
